International Visitor's Programme

Working breakfast: the future of Europe 

Finally, at the closing working breakfast Jose Manuel Durao Barroso, Viviane Reding, and Mariano Rajoy gave their visions of post electoral Europe with remarkable commitment towards the European Project.

President of the European Commission Jose Manuel DURAO BARROSO addressed the assembled on Europe’s role in a world in need of leadership and guidance. Commissioner Viviane REDING gave detailed explanations of communication strategies and plans in Europe in light of the upcoming European Elections. Mariano RAJOY stressed the commitment of the Partido Popular of Spain to the European Project, and developed his proposals related to European integration, a new economic strategy to assure competitiveness in Europe and overcome the economic and financial crisis, reforms to bring progress in the fields of innovation and new technologies, a sustainable and modern social policy, and finding climate change, agriculture, and fish policies that can tackle the challenges to come.

Antonio LOPEZ-ISTURIZ closed the programme with his deepest thanks to the sponsors, participants, and speakers. He called upon their support in the upcoming elections and hoped to welcome them again to a CES event in the near future.
